In 2004, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the parish, Father Mario decides to open a health center right next to the church.<\/p>

It will be the sick shelter \u201cSt. Elizabeth of Hungary\u201d, widow of Duke of Thuringia in the thirteenth century had devoted the rest of his life to prayer and charity to the sick. This is made possible thanks to the courageous action of a nurse and Italian lay missionary, Paola.<\/p>

\u00a0 In 2010, the new Bishop Olivier asks Paola to merge the clinic with the one\u00a0of St. Joseph Parish (at Psah Touch) as part of a vast diocesan health program. This is when the birth of two clinics CACB, Cambodia Catholic Community Association.<\/p>

These clinics are not diocesan neighborhood clinics. They are intended to accommodate the very poor patients sent by the province of parishes in Phnom Penh in order to receive specialized tests or special care inaccessible to the rest of the country. It is therefore first foster homes where they disoriented patients are housed, fed and oriented according to best their problems.<\/p>

\u00a0 In that context, the clinic St. Elizabeth in Boeung Tumpun plays a very special role. These are indeed the patients with serious disease or long-term accommodated there, sometimes for several months. Many of them have, for example cancer requiring specialized care to the Khmer-Soviet Hospital. Terminal, the specialized team of St. Elizabeth provides support and palliative care to patients and their families.<\/p>

Each year the two clinics CACB welcome about 1,700 patients, for the first time or as part of a follow-up, with a Cambodian team of three doctors, four nurses, two guides, four cooks, 1 accountant and a dozen LHR in province.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
